Blue Ridge Pain Management
Dr. Buzzanell and Crystal Welch
Blue Ridge Pain Management provides all clinical care in a tranquil office facility. Dr. Buzzanell and his longstanding staff share a dedication for compassionate clinical care with a focus on interventional pain management balanced with medications when appropriate. The practice does not provide medication-management only. Prospective patients require a physician referral with pertinent medical records for review.
Patients can expect to have frequent exposure to familiar staff. Patients who call the practice are able to speak directly to the staff and avoid interacting with a prerecorded message. The staff is committed to provide personalized care for each patient. Dr. Buzzanell and his team give clear clinical instruction; gentle procedural care typically with comfort medications; a timely follow up calls to assess and coach patients following procedures.
Our patients appreciate the assurance that they will have one physician providing their care, eliminating concern of validating a pain condition with another doctor unfamiliar with the patient's history. This is especially helpful with care sought after office hours.
The practice provides a range of pain reducing procedures including, but not limited to: epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections, selective nerve root blocks, management of pain management infusion devices (such as a "spinal morphine pump") and spinal column stimulation. Patients are also considered for concomitant physical therapy/rehabilitation and talk therapy to help complete their pain management clinical goals.
The scope of chronic pain conditions managed through the practice include, but are not limited to: failed back surgery syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, acute and chronic shingles pain, chronic pain from degenerative and herniated disk disease, as well as joint degenerative conditions.
We promote an interactive clinical relationship with our patients to empower them and regain more function in their lives.
